Today I am here opening myself to you, to tell you that I understand you, that like you I am afraid. And even with that, I can and I want to make you feel better.

I want to tell you that there are good people in the world, and I have proven it thanks to the hands that have supported me in difficult moments, and that have shown before my eyes that everything is possible, that it is possible to have a better life, quiet and happy.

I emigrated to France 4 years ago, and through my journey in this country I had the misfortune of facing the most difficult situations that as a woman I have experienced in my life, and being a foreigner adds more disadvantages. I have found myself in zones of danger, of violence, of abuse, dark zones in which I know that many others have found themselves or still are.

And at the same time, now I am willing to share with you how lucky I am to have found great women who helped me overcome those challenges, and offered me a hand to continue.

Not all of them are pictured here, but they are present in my testimony. This exhibition is the fruit of the love and support of all of them.

Through these photographs and these stories, today I want to share with you the reflection that as a group we have the necessary strength to combat all adversity. Realize that you are not alone; there are many others, who like me, are present to offer you their hand.
