Portraits and stories of Latin women
TAKE MY HAND

I extend my hand to you my sister,
though not by blood, but for the same cause,
by empathy, by choice.
Without knowing you, I understand you,
because we are women.
Take my hand, I'll hold you here.
you are not alone, let's walk together,
let's laugh, let's dance,
let's create a new road dor ourselves.
Let's shout in unison that
we deserve to live in freedom!
I know you are afraid,
that there are moments when you feel alone...
Take my hand, hold on to my shoulder,
I lend you my ear to listen to you,
and my arms to comfort you.
It was a woman's hand that held me for the first time,
that accompanied me to take my first steps
and gave me love and understanding in a caress,
my mother's,
a woman who inspires me and is with me always.
In life, at every step I have taken,
I have met many hands that have helped me,
many of women.
Every hand that has been offered to me
is an extension of the great heart
of people who are willing to help.
When I emigrated, those hands that were extended to me
of strong and courageous women,
have now managed to weave strong bonds of
of sisterhood, containment, and affection.
In their hands I have found a great friend,
whom I now consider a sister,
and even with whom I feel the sincere embrace
like that of a mother to her daughter.
TAKE MY HAND
is a way to give homage to the women
who have crossed my road,
capturing their essence through my lens.
Their hands not only contain me,
are the means through which they
express their talent and form ties with other women.
I invite you to meet them.

THEY REACH OUT TO YOU

Women, let us weave together the bonds that unite us, that allow us to create new paths, to grow in society.
Let us propose and become aware of the importance of defending our interests, our ideals, our rights, and our freedom.
